“Choose a job you love and you never have to work for one day in your life.”
Thus Iaçanã sees her vocation – the ballet. Since one year, the 21-year-old Brazilian has been a member of the Europaballett-Ensemble. She completed her ballet education in Rio de Janeiro and Jonville. In 2015, she graduated from the Bolshoi Theater in Brazil in the “Classical Dance” category.
As a soloist she danced in 2014 in „Schwanensee“ at the Salzburg Landestheater. Her greatest engagement so far was „The Love of Danae“, last year, at the Salzburg Festival. Numerous performances can be booked to her success account in her short time in St. Pölten. As a guest dancer she was engaged to the stage Baden for the production of “The Jungle Book”.
If Iaçanã is asked about her motivation for the dance and her favorite style, the answer is spontaneous and clear: „For me ballet means art, body, mind and emotions. At the dance, we must at all times take full devotion the story to the audience close without words, just by the expression of our soul. I love classical ballet because I believe in the tradition. Neoclassical ballet as well as Contemporary, due to the endless possibilities of movement which lead to amazing, touching and interesting pieces.“
